Here's Hoping: It's Just [INSERT NAME] being [INSERT NAME]

Here's Hoping is a list of things we want to see happen over the weekend, but mainly it's an excuse to post a picture of a drunk athlete. This week it's flamethrower/keg lover Joel Zumaya.
Here's hoping...

1. ...We can keep the Manny being Manny stories coming. I know it's a worn-out topic, but for some reason I can't get enough.

2. ...The US Army comes to its sense and allows Caleb Campbell to pursue his NFL dream. Having a legitimate athlete coaching at a prep school takes away jobs for the failed wannabe athletes the position was meant for. Like me.

3. ...A major trade goes down so we're not bombarded with Yankee-Red Sox news all weekend. Jason Bay/Xavier Nady to the Mets maybe? /blatant homerism

4. ...Tim Lincecum can rebound from what's been a tough month so far. The diminutive righty gave up 5 runs vs. the Brewers in his last outing, but gets to face a nonexistent Arizona offense on Saturday. 20 Ks is a definite possibility.

5. ...The Rays figure out how to win on the road. Away from Tropicana they're just 19-26, and last night's loss puts them in a tie atop the AL East. Now is not a good time for the season's best story to collapse.

6. ...The next best story snaps out of his post All-Star slump. Josh Hamilton, like so many HR Derby finalists before him, has been slow out of the gate, hitting .200 with 1 RBI in his past six games.

7. ...The Farvaro shitstorm (aka Peter King's masturbation material) comes to an end soon. Will he end up with the Bucs? The Jets? I don't care, as long as he throws around 62 interceptions. Which is roughly his season average. What a gutty gunslinger, that Favre.

8. ...Holy Taco continues to make my year with these comic books. Not even the undead can resist Tawmmy Brady.

9. ...Piedmont High's A-11 offense catches on in the college ranks. Texas Tech or Hawaii could definitely pull it off.

10. ...The Yankees break down and sign Barry Bonds. It's definitely a Hank Steinbrenner-type move.
